Once upon a time, an evil Corona Virus attempted to take over the world. It closed businesses, isolated family members, and turned society in to a bunch of disgruntled, mask-wearing, T P hoarders.
The Virus instilled fear, demolished hope, and generally made everyone feel miserable. Then, to top it off, the terrible, horrible, no-good, rotten-to-the-core virus decided to STEAL CHRISTMAS.
It canceled holiday parties, squashed Christmas programs, and ruined everyone’s plans for happy family celebrations. Goodbye Christmas cheer. Goodbye peace on earth. Goodbye hope.
The Virus’s black heart was filled with glee at the havoc it had created.
Christmas had been ruined! Bwa-ha-ha.
Christmas cannot be stopped and it cannot be stolen. The miracle of Jesus’ birth and the salvation he offers to mankind are just as true today as they were two thousand years ago.
We can celebrate Christmas despite all the virus has stolen, because the plans, parties, and presents are only the trappings. No mere virus can steal Christmas, no matter how many cherished family traditions it’s ruined.
May your Christmas be filled with joy as you find ways to celebrate all that is good in your life. May your Christmas be filled with hope as you remember the life-changing truth of Jesus and his good news. May your Christmas be filled with love as you find ways to connect with loved ones despite the challenges.
I hope you enjoyed my little story. Have a wonderful Christmas.
